Christmas Surgeon ??? Bugs

Continuing to explore Madrid ...

Marco arrives Tuesday. After a desperate race to the airport in an attempt to surprise him, arrive 5 minutes after the supposed arrival of his plane and the panic comes over me: and if it was already headed for my house? What a fool .. Erika nice surprise! But, fortunately, I see him get off the escalator (having shaved hard to recognize in one!) Sorpresaaaa ..! We head towards Calle Las Huertas Madrid and we begin our week together.

The first day I decide to relax and let us lose ourselves in Malasaña to discover new and unexpected passages vintage. We are literally caught visually by a shop / bakery 6os traits that exposes the pastries in the window that had the most beautiful and imaginative ever seen .. We are filling the screen!

In the following days, we decided to venture out in search of more or less touristic places in Madrid that do not yet know. Then we arrive at the Jardin Botanico, aiuolette natural oasis of well-cured, unusual flora and fauna narcissist.

The greenhouse recreates a microcosm of tropical moist and dark in which to lose rocked the scientific names of exotic plants that live there.
Accidentally (thanks to Raffaele who posted photos on Facebook), she stumbles During the time of Debod this majestic structure was donated by the Egyptian state in 1968 to Spain as a tribute and thanks to aid provided by the Iberian Peninsula to the renovation of Abu Simbel. Unfortunately, the entrance to the temple remains closed for roadworks, but we have the opportunity to admire it from outside and enjoy the magnificent landscape that surrounds it.
then arrives on Thursday evening, great night announced by Carla at the Viva Las Vegas club here, every last Thursday of the month, an impromptu Elvis pseudo marriages celebrated in the "chapel" of the room. Fun by the exciting music of the 60s rock and roll (for instance, the same Marty McFly playing at the ball "Enchantment under the Sea" Back to the Future!) that allows us to launch into wild dances and acrobatic twist more or less. The clothing that most spot-on, as evidenced by the photos, makes us receive lots of compliments!
Other sightseeing tour of art and culture, the Monastery of Las Descalzas Reales, a site dating from the XVI century full of antiques, relics and sacred ornaments that fall in a pass. For an hour and a half we follow the guide will show you that the English the various chapels that characterize this convent, the artistic and architectural interventions that populate every corner of the structure. Forbidden to take photographs, so I consoled with the image of the excellent and high-calorie breakfast of churros and hot chocolate we've done before entering the monastery.

This intense week and also characterized the departure of Gigo, a phenomenal known Mexican friend here in Madrid. In his honor we have dinner at a Mexican restaurant, a little folklore thanks to Rey Mysterio that floats above our heads, and reach the rest of the company in a room to celebrate the farewell of our task.

Sunday spent relaxing at the Retiro. The professional deformation forces us to notice the fantastic pan dan do with their towels on which we lie and we can not help but capture between a laugh and the next.

Week multitasking to Susy Blady (Ross, this is for you).

When To Replace Shocks Jeep Liberty

Gazpacho and Tabacalera.

Dear readers, this week my computer decided it was time to give me some screen problem ... black and no sign of life have contributed to delay the update of my blog so .. mea culpa (or rather the mac culpa!).

This week he spent quietly, awaiting the arrival of Mark next week. At work everything ok, the days pass without too much trouble. The weekend we decided to organize a traditional home dinner with friends that are working to prepare a menu perfect English. Gazpacho homemade, tasty, "aglioso and fresh!

On Sunday we spend in the pool and once we head out towards the Tabacalera: Social Center exhibition space and leisure in which different activities are organized regularly (sorry in English provisional computer I do not know where they are accented letters!) and cultural workshops. Here, we find an interesting photographic exhibition of the posters that are scattered throughout Madrid.

Entry amazes us with the spectacular sand covering the ground and there set in a surreal atmosphere. The exhibition presents very strong shots on the violence suffered by various peoples of the world and reveals the chilling dark side of human cruelty. The arrangement allows the pictures to almost float in the air and makes the whole property and suspended.

Weekend "take it easy."

White Line After Eyebrows Waxed

Madrid-Faro-Seville-Cadiz: dream! Team

The weekend anticipating the start of the holiday could not be peaceful and quiet .. a mojito party of "happy holidays" was a must: summoned to colleagues and friends we started to dance (more or less sober).

lot of laughter, music e.. Recovered in the final carriage road that was used to drag Marco home without compromise sciatic nerve! Saturday is thankfully more relaxed: take-away lunch and dinner of the Retiro gambas al ajillo (= fresh breath!).

Sunday arrives and the preparations are becoming increasingly restless. Among the various mishaps (Ilaria try to miss your flight because of his gargantuan luggage!) Reach Faro ... hot and absolute, "the driver Pierre" (never understood the real name ..) with us in the apartment booked for the first four days in Almancil ... A village of 10 souls lost in the middle ground between Faro and Albufeira (Albufeiraaaaaaaa).

This small recreation center does not offer much but fortunately the apartment is nothing short of breathtaking and provided with all necessary amenities (massage chair, megastereo CD with the best of 60s, dictionary-and Portuguese-obrigadooooooo quant 'more..) The first day we're going to Albufeira after a first stop on the beach in Quarteira, somewhat disappointing (Jesolo has nothing to envy).

Time is definitely not very promising but after all the first day is relaxed and fun.
The second day we aim at the top: take the train to Lagos and within an hour and a half we arrive in this pretty seaside town with narrow streets, rocky beaches crowded but nice e. .. prawns in coconut sauce!

The last day we decide to pass it to Tavira, half an hour by train from Faro most 20 minutes away by boat. The island is tiny but packed with people, long beach offers space for nudist hippies who show in all their grace (?) And there are strange shells that give us the crazy idea: applying for a trash-French!

Shells shaped nails, but rather unusual colors, allow us to transform our fingers and sharp edged weapons to the chilling evening Nightmare .. totally weird, freaky and surreal.

The next day we spend the morning by bus to Seville (4 hours from Faro) where we land at about 14. The city is beautiful and sunny, dry and suffocating the fall (46 °) but, at least for me, nice. Immediately visit the Alcazar, the castle of the old Arabic: immense and very impressive, recreates atmosphere of Arabian Nights that allow you to immerse yourself in the age ideally.

The next day we visit the cathedral, to the top of the minaret, from where to admire a breathtaking view of the city that shows all its colors in pottery scattered everywhere! Then we wander aimlessly (impossible with the Ross-Susy Blady clocking also the minutes of shut as if we were on a trip! Ahahaha) stumble here and there glimpses of the city in style, ranging from purely Arab and undoubtedly Hispanic tiles in each where white houses and open courtyards to admire the absolutely wonderful.

We end at a time of Cadiz. We arrive at 11 after an hour and a half bus. The city is really pretty, wrapped in lanes of the series "if you're not here in Spain you will not feel anywhere else in Spain."

spend the afternoon at the beach, where you can see the whole profile of the coast on which stands the yellow dome of the cathedral.

The next morning I get up early, leaving those wretched of my teammates to make the mold in bed and I head to the beach: they are alone! At 9 am the day of August on our beaches is unthinkable find yourself walking on the shore: Well I was the only form of life (excluding mussels!) On the beach at that time. Around 11 others and I reach the coastline becomes much more populous.

Last
bathroom and delicious paella, before the bus that takes me to the airport of Jerez (as we like that name!). Return to Madrid and quiet with no surprises, but with a slight melancholy that accompanies each return from vacation.
