"Women are not born, but becomes one". (Simone de Beauvoir)
all dear all,
that now is a important day: it is the feast commemorating the centenary of women's role in history and the rights won today thanks to the constant battle and many of them.
The mimosa is a symbol of this festival, which too often becomes just a commercial holiday, obscuring the profound value. Let us give a mimosa if this serves to honor the struggles made for the right to work, voting and education. Recall, however, to those who too easily forget that the fragility of this small flower does not belong to us. We have all the strength, determination, resources needed to make a very significant input in the policy, which now takes place in the units rose introduced by PD 379 and the candidate women (42% of the total) in the lists of the April elections.
The program recognizes women of the Democratic Party "the ace of the development, competitiveness, social welfare" and to give substance to this claim through a number of important proposals aimed at furthering women's employment, the reconciliation of life and working to a more equal distribution between men and women's care work.
A program that provides, therefore, further steps in the affirmation of equal opportunities. Concrete measures that go in the direction of social change but also cultural, which can and must reach all levels social organization: up to the family and the couple, which must be based on honesty, sharing, mutual respect, equal to a contractual relationship between man and woman also in the home, where they often persist, but Majority male model. The rethinking of the role of women requires a rethinking of relations between people. Forces, with urgency, the implementation of measures against the violence of which women continue to be covered.
Let this day serve as an incentive to keep going in this direction. Let's do all those men and women, because the struggle for equality is a matter of everyone. The
8 March of one hundred years ago, 129 American workers on strike were left to die in a textile mill burned down, this will not happen again, anywhere in the world.
sincere wishes to all of us.
