BAROMETER SURVEY CONDUCTED BY THE WORLD OF RETAIL THEFT IN
According to the latest study conducted by the Centre for Retail Research, supported by Checkpoint Systems, a leader for the control of shrinkage, it appears that theft in supermarkets were down 5.6% compared to 2009 in the face of increased investment in prevention strategies. Nevertheless, the losses in Italian stores are still very high and constitute an increase of about EUR 163 per year, on account of the expenditure of an average family. In examining the nature of losses, note that in Italy has increased the number of thefts by customers themselves , in fact, shows that 52.5% of theft is the work of organized gangs or non-professional thieves.
